The Clinical Classification System - Evidence Based Coding
CCC Manual

Welcome to

The Clinical Care Classification (CCC) System is a standardized, coded nursing terminology that identifies the discrete elements of nursing practice. The CCC System consists of a unique four level framework and coding structure for capturing the essence of patient care in all health care settings. The CCC System is used to document a nursing plan of care following the six steps of the nursing process model.

The System (version 2.5) consists of two interrelated terminologies - the CCC of Nursing Diagnoses and Outcomes and the CCC of Nursing Interventions and Actions - classified by 21 Care Components to form a single system. The Care Components provide the standardized Framework that links the CCC terminologies to each other and enables them to be mapped to other health-related classification systems.
