The updated CCC System, version 2.5, was developed between 2009 and 2011 from the ongoing work of the CCC System National Scientific Advisory Board members: Patricia Dykes, Rosemary Kennedy, Jackie Moss, Bonnie Westra, Barbara Van der Castle, and Luann Whittenburg; Ad Hoc members: Suzanne Bakken and Connie Delaney; and consultant, Amy Jacobs who reviewed and edited the CCC System revisions and codes. All of these experts donated their time and provided their expertise to review the existing concepts in the CCC System Version 2.0 implemented in 2003 as well as evaluate the proposed new concepts and revisions recommended and submitted by users, educators, and researchers since then.
In 2003 the revised, updated CCC System, version 2.0, emerged from the work and efforts of the
Scientific Advisory Board: Terri Ayers, Suzanne Bakken, Ruth Galtin Irwin, Sheila Sparks; Ad hoc,
Amy Coenen and Ann Fariss, and Virginia Saba as well as many researchers, educators, and clinicians who
contributed and recommended diagnostic labels, interventions, concepts, and/or terms for consideration and review.
The original CCC System version 1.0 emerged from the federally funded research project conducted at Georgetown University School of Nursing. It was conducted by Virginia K. Saba, Principal Investigator and Project Director and a research team: Alan E. Zuckerman, Patricia O'Hare, Jennifer Boondas, Eugene Levine, William Scanlon, and David Oatway; a consultant, Sheila M. Sparks, two graduate students -- Irene Reyes and Sheila Nveva -- and an office manager, Andrew McLaughlin.
